Another strike on its way...
Thousands of commuters are being warned of travel chaos for next week with a 4-day train strike by the RMT and TSSA unions.
First it was BA’s cabin crew strike now the RMT and the Transport Salaried Staffs’ Association (TSSA) are planning four days of action from 6 April in a row over jobs and working practices. The unions say the move would adversely affect railway safety - a claim disputed by Network Rail.
Robin Gisby, Network Rail’s director of operations and customer services, said: “Britain’s railway is safer than ever. The issue of safety is a smokescreen from a union leadership stuck in the steam age.”
Transport Secretary Lord Adonis said: “A strike is in no-one’s interests and could cause serious disruption to passengers. Both sides should seek to resolve this dispute by negotiation and not confrontation and I am urging them to do so.”
This could all have been avoided if they had in place effective staff communication packs. At Be we have created and developed effective communication materials and tools for companies to engage with their staff on all levels.
See for yourself how BE has designed communication materials to speak and connect with customers and employees.
